Design a custom 3D printable hose or pipe adapter with exact diameters, fit clearance, wall thickness, threaded shaft length, and an optional wrench grip.
Custom Hose Adapter Builder
The STLPlayground Hose Adapter Builder creates a custom 3D printable adapter between two round hose, pipe, vacuum, dust-collection, workshop, or standard garden-hose connections. Configure each end independently as a socket, spigot, 3/4 inch GHT female thread, or 3/4 inch GHT male thread, then tune fit clearance for your printer.
Build an Exact-Size Hose Adapter
Fixed-size adapters are often close but not quite right. This hose adapter builder lets you independently control End A and End B connection type and length, custom socket/spigot diameter, transition length, wall thickness, and fit clearance. Threaded ends can include an adjustable straight nipple section before the threads, and an optional integrated hexagonal wrench grip makes threaded fittings easier to tighten or remove.
Preview How the Adapter Connects
Assembled view adds translucent mating references at both ends so you can see whether each connection slides over, slides into, or threads onto the intended hose or port. Print Layout removes those reference objects and presents only the printable adapter in its build-plate orientation.
Socket, Spigot, and Garden Hose Threads
Choose Socket when the printed adapter needs to slide over the outside of a mating port. Choose Spigot when it needs to slide inside a receiving opening. For common outdoor hose connections, choose the 3/4 inch GHT/NH male or female option. The garden-hose modes use the standard nominal 11.5 TPI thread envelope; fit clearance remains adjustable because FDM printers, materials, and existing fittings vary.
Useful for Vacuum, Workshop, and Garden Connections
Custom adapters are useful for shop vacuums, dust collection, ventilation, cooling ducts, hobby tubing, workshop tools, garden hoses, and spigots where available fittings do not provide the transition you need. Use calipers for custom socket/spigot ends and print a short fit test before committing to a large functional part.
3D Printing Tips
PETG is a useful starting material for many utility adapters because it offers more toughness and heat tolerance than standard PLA. Use enough perimeters for the required wall strength, use a fine enough layer height for threaded ends, and inspect the exported model in your slicer before printing. Thread and slip fit depend on printer calibration, filament, and the actual mating part.
Important: generated adapters are not certified pressure, gas, potable-water, food-contact, or safety-critical fittings. Validate material, sealing, temperature, load, and fit for your specific application.
Export Your Hose Adapter
Preview the adapter in the browser, adjust the connection types and dimensions, then export the finished design as STL, 3MF, or OBJ for slicing and 3D printing.
